I was permanent personnel at the Marine Corps Recruit Depot close by. I joined the ushers and concession union. Stopped at the thrift store and for 1.50 bought a pair of black pants and button down white shirt wear over my jeans and t-shirt. When I was turned down for work due to being a newly, acted disappointed and asked if I could stay and watch the show. Stripped off the outside tire, trashed it then watched the Clipperettes who were being chosen that evening. Watched Ian Anderson warm up flute before show doing Thick as a Brick. Sat and wandered throughout the show having a great time.
