Varied taste in music, artists & bands. My first arena concert was on Mar 26, 1974 at Henry Levitt Arena, in Wichita, KS. The concert was Emerson, Lake & Palmer. I was 16 years old.

The concert was one of the events in conjunction with The Millennium March on Washington, which was an event to raise awareness and visibility of lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) people and issues of LGBT rights in the US, it was held April 28 through April 30, 2000 in Washington, DC. The Millennium Pride Festival was held prior to the March, it was a huge event that saw tens of thousands flock to the US capital. A march from the Washington Monument to the front lawn of the United States Capitol took place on April 30, where the crowd was addressed by several members of Congress and, via video, by President Bill Clinton. Estimates of attendance ranged from 200,000 to 1 million people, including an 18 year-old Pete Buttigieg.

"Reunion Arena" in downtown Dallas, that was the original home to the Dallas Mavericks (basketball) and the Dallas Stars (hockey), plus it was THE venue for many amazing concerts. Unfortunately, the arena was demolished in November, 2009 after being used more sparingly beginning in 2001, when the brand new American Airlines Center opened a few blocks away, at which time the Dallas Mavericks and the Dallas Stars moved to that venue. Reunion Arena suffered the fate of so many great venues that were built with not enough premium sky boxes, to bring in more income for the rising salaries of the Dallas Mavericks and Dallas Stars players.
