I found out about this concert when only few tickets were left available. Because I had seen him twice before (Las Vegas and Reno) and both times I had seats very close to the front, I figured I can't expect to always luck out like that so I bought what looked like one of the last tickets which placed me in the balcony at this Moore Theater, back row against the wall, far corner against a side wall. Left balcony, seat X7. Price $52.50 + fees = $72.
When I got to the venue, the ticket reader scanned my ticket and told me to wait nearby while she summoned a manager. I thought, uh oh, do I now have no seat at all?
The manager said something about they needed to place a camera in my seat so she gave me a better seat, Main Floor, seat B5. The second row on the right side. What luck!
I never did see a camera in seat X7 but I figured what really was going on is that, since they were filming the concert that night, maybe they did not want the camera to notice empty seats near the front so they grabbed people from the back, like me, to fill in the empty seats in the front.
In any case, I'm 3 for 3 in terms of good seats at Bill Burr shows!

My notes indicate concert was 8pm, tickets $9.50 and $10.50.

The room we were in at the Hitching Post was not that large, more like a small banquet room. No one danced, we were all mesmerized to be so near a rock star. I mean, what rock star ever comes to Cheyenne! There was no gap between us and him as he played; I and others stood maybe three feet away from him as he played on a platform that was maybe two feet high. At one point during the concert we must have got way too close, like inches close, because he asked us if we would back up just a little, which of course we did. Just a little.

This concert dd not include Joe Walsh.

I was a senior in high school. During the concert, I went out to the parking lot and, in the dark of night, as I headed back to the Pavilion, the floodlights which were mounted on tall poles to illuminate the area as well as the roof of the Pavilion had, against the backdrop of night, showed the entire roof was giving off an exhaust of pot smoke. It was huge. Which means lots of people were smoking inside the venue. Which I already knew. I just didn't think in my youth that it would be so obvious. Cheyenne was so strait-laced, I was amazed no one called the cops. It was so remarkable to me. I'll never forget it. A coming of age moment.

During this concert, Joel started talking to the audience and, among other things, he mentioned his wife Christie Brinkley but then offered to the guys in the audience something to the effect of "isn't she something hey hey hey" to which the guys responded in that locker room way. The whole exchange seemed out of place and an alarm went off in my head as to how odd this was, thinking a man in love would not offer his wife up to the wolves like that. That's what stuck in my head. So my intuition told me his marriage was in trouble but of course who would believe my intuition when their public lives indicated they were happy, so I never told anybody. It was a few months later I heard on the radio that Joel and his wife had separated. They divorced August 26, 1994.

My half of ticket stub has no date except "SAT EVE 8:00 P.M." I estimate 1974. If anybody knows the year, please add it somehow, maybe add a Comment. Thanks.
