[show #126] I almost ended up not going to this show but I am glad I did. Death Angel rocked. It was the first time I have seen them, and it is great to see bands I grew into my metal phase with still kicking. They played a very short set though and the sound in the State Theater is not so great so it was hard to hear the singing, but I did recognize "Mistress of Pain." Testament kicked ass too. They all looked great. Their sound was much the same as Death Angel but I picked up on the classics I knew. Chuck Billy had a cordless mike on a two foot post that he kept playing as a guitar. Later there was a green light inside so it kinda looked like a light saber. They played an extra long set for some reason. I think Anthrax was running a bit late. That sucked because we had to work in the morning, and the girls had school and we thought it'd be an early night. Anthrax came on at 10:15 so we did at least get to see 45 min of them, a few classics like "Among the Living", "Caught in a Mosh", and "AntiSocial", and a few newer songs. They sounded great. It was good to see them again.
