I was 9 and a few months.
July 22, 1978 A parade route in which Olivia road an Arabian in Olivia, Minnesota through a parade to honor her and the town of 3 to 4 thousand. She said that it was the only place that she visited ..... everyone said ....Thank-You!, Olivia, Minnesota, United States
Dad drove his team in this parade a few times amongst his 200 plus parades. Also, Mom and Dad took us here for sweet corn and games for the kids when we had just Molly and Tyler.
The rain stopped in time for a parade after much of the celebration was canceled before it. The streets were wet but we munched on bugles long before the parade started. We had to get there early for a spot to sit. Eventually the sun came out and then Olivia did too. Very memorable still to this day!
