Limp Bizkit was the opener. It was only Limp Bizkit and Faith No More that night.
I am a fan of both of these bands. Limp Bizkit was still real new and not well known at this point, but known enough some people didn’t like them. It was about 3 months after Three Dollar Bill Y’all came out, which was right around the 4th of July, if not the 4th. I saw Limp Bizkit the first time about a year earlier with KoRn on October 16th 1996, the day after Life is Peachy came out, and a few months later with KoRn, and Helmet at Memorial Hall in March of 1997.
I didn’t see Faith No More again until around 2010 at the Palladium in Los Angeles, where we actually bumped into Mike Patton and Danny Devito leaving the venue, we’ll before FNM was gonna be on, as the doors at the venue hadn’t even opened yet. I accidentally bumped into Mike, and we were pretty flabbergasted. I was able to get a pic of my friend with Patton, but he was in a hurry, and I didn’t wanna be pushy, so I don’t get a pic.
