СОЮЗ (SOYUZ). Descending from the eclectic underground of Minsk, Belarus, SOYUZ seek to re-imagine the 70’s Música popular Brasileira movement by connecting the dots between the jazz-orientated, non-English speaking pop music of the 20th century, and modern-day compositions. Led by composer and vocalist Alex Chumak, the name SOYUZ translates to ‘union’ reflecting the creative collaboration of the trio, including one of the key figures of the Belarusian underground scene Mikita Arlou and drummer Antom Nemahai.
