Some think the only way to respect tradition is to mimic it - but Brookhouse has always existed between traditions, and couldn’t mimic any of them if he tried. His chameleonic mix of rock, Latin jazz, and Americana aims to celebrate the many cultures that he’s been exposed to as the son of a Cuban-American and a lifelong Virginian. Acoustic and electric, English and Spanish, carefree and deathly serious, this music shows that wherever you’re from, you contain multitudes. And nothing is more thrilling than being unapologetically yourself.
