Algae and Tentacles is the solo work of singer and writer John Melillo. Ranging from pulsating noise to lullaby-like folk songs, Algae and Tentacles has a number of faces and influences. The songs and ballads of early folk blues and old-time country mix with the expansive noisescapes of avant-garde composers and performers. One night performing as a noise band and another as a singer-songwriter soloist, Algae and Tentacles is as eclectic as they come.
