The Axe Murder Boyz are from Denver. They are originally from the West Denver area of the city. James and Mike Garcia are brothers of Mexican-American and Spanish descent. Axe Murder Boyz released a series of underground local releases on their own label, Axe Recordings, before creating Canonize Productions and releasing their debut studio album, The Unforgiven Forest, in 2004.
