Jason Coffman began recording as anaphylaxis in 1994 and released his first works through tape-trading before the first anaphylaxis cd, "component," was released in 1999. Early recordings were primitive shortwave radio and sampler-based, but after the release of "component" Coffman began using various computer software. The resulting prolific period that followed saw the release of six full-length anaphylaxis releases in the space of three years...
