Founded in 1997, anchorman hailed from Pompano Beach, Florida. Veterans of numerous popular South Florida bands including Vacant Andys, Radio Baghdad, Pivot, and Hudson, anchorman’s lineup is as follows: Stylistically, anchorman’s sound is a blend of various musical influences, culminating in high-energy, melodic punk rock songs. anchorman’s first release, Still need you more than air (1998 CD EP), has been distributed around the world and various tracks have appeared on numerous compilations.
