And the Giraffe is the “dream-folk” project of best friends, Josh Morris and Nick Roberts. The band started when the two met during an orientation meeting for university in Gainesville, FL and decided to get together to jam when school finally started. Originally, And the Giraffe played acoustic folk songs and played a few different shows in the area while they still lived near each other. In the spring of 2011, Josh moved to Nashville, TN to pursue a different direction academically and the two were forced to collaborate via Dropbox.
