Ashley Stove Concert History

The Ashley Stove was a four-piece rock band nurtured in the fertile musical climate of Raleigh, NC. Their forte was craftily skewered rock music with catchy hooks galore. The band got its start in 1992, the byproduct of many band-fantasy discussions between boyhood friends Matt Brown and Ben Barwick (guitars/vocals). The lineup remained in flux for a little while, as new collaborators came and went. Billy Alphin joined up to play drums in 1992, after playing with several different bands including the art freaks of Buttsteak.
