AverySunshine (born Denise Nicole White, in Chester, Pennsylvania, May 22, 1975) is a 48 year-old singer-songwriter and pianist. She learned to play piano as a child, performing in various church choirs throughout her teenage years. During college at Spelman, she and fellow student Maia Nkenge Wilson, a gospel and R&B singing duo called DaisyRew. After college, AverySunshine was hired as the Minister of Music at the St. Paul African Methodist Episcopal (AME) Church in Atlanta, Georgia. In 2005, she released her first single "Stalker." Five years later, she dropped her debut studio album "AverySunshine." For the next several years, she toured the US, UK, Europe, and Africa extensively. In 2014, she released her second studio album "The SunRoom" with her third album "Twenty Sixty Four" following in 2017.
