Beat Drun Juel doesn't apologize for its music. The group makes hard rock in the traditionalist vein, with rhythms that bounce in your ears only as a match for the sludgy-yet-melodic guitar riffs. It's the sort of music that won't win everyone over (for genre alone), but the group is exceptionally good at what it does. The music, matched with vocalist and bandleader Donna Polydoros' lyrics that sound pulled from the depths of her heart and mind.
