Big Sir is a Los Angeles-based band consisting of Juan Alderete (The Mars Volta and Racer X) and Lisa Papineau (Pet), often including additional musicians performing with them on their albums. The 2012 album Before Gardens After Gardens features, among other artists, Matt Embree (Rx Bandits) and Cedric Bixler-Zavala (The Mars Volta and At The Drive-In) on drums.
