Bill Abel is a Delta blues guitar player and singer through and through. Growing up in Belzoni, Mississippi, he befriended a neighborhood welder and blues guitarist named Paul “Wine” Jones. The future Fat Possum Records artist became Abel’s mentor. Through the years, Abel has deepened his musical knowledge by accompanying other legends like Honeyboy Edwards, Henry Townsend, T-Model Ford and many others. Abel has also recorded with Big George Brock, Cadillac John Nolden, Sam Carr, Hubert Sumlin, Odell Harris and others.
