William Patrick Corgan Jr. (born March 17, 1967) is an American musician, singer-songwriter, and professional wrestling promoter. He is best known as the co-founder, lead guitarist, primary songwriter, singer, and only consistent member of the alternative rock band The Smashing Pumpkins. Corgan is recognized for his influence on the popularization of alternative rock. He has also been the owner and promoter of the National Wrestling Alliance (NWA) since 2017.
