In 1997 in the mist of over heated battles of “NBA LIVE 97″ Binkis was born. Jax and Flux decided they wanted to participate in the hip-hop game, and decided “Binkis” would be the name to use. The word “Binkis” is an acronym for “Before Ignorant N*ggas Killed Intelligent Songs”. Based in Atlanta, Binkis has New York’s wittiness, alongside Chicago’s soul, blended with the South’s energy and roots to form a powerful conglomerate.
