Bita and the Botflies is a Filipino indie band known for their haunting blend of blues-rock and pop melodies, often laced with dark, socially conscious themes. Formed in 2016, the band was initially named Adobo Toothpaste before adopting their current moniker, which combines lead vocalist Sofy Aldeguer’s childhood nickname "Bita" with "the Botflies," referencing parasitic insects that grow inside human flesh—a nod to their provocative and unsettling aesthetic.
