Brave Elephant is a indie-folk outfit formed in the fall of 2010 by singer/songwriter Matt Quinn. If the success of Fleet Foxes and Band of Horses, fellow musicians with animal-inspired monikers to which Brave Elephant’s sound is often compared, is any indication, Brave Elephant is poised to make an impact. Their versatile euphonies are characterized by Quinn’s emotive and raspy vocals that effortlessly switch between deep vibrato and clear falsetto, perfectly bringing the emotion of their down-to-earth lyrics to life.
