Born to Vietnamese parents in the seaside resort of Eastbourne on the south coast of England, Catherine first began performing live in public at 14 and from the age of 16, earned her apprenticeship as a solo artist by playing famous intimate acoustic London venues such as The 12 Bar Club and The Kashmir Klub.
