Spawned from their discontent of the pop-culture infested world they live in, Changing of The Guard offers colloquial speech and lyrics on topics that put the masses on the fence. The music can be described as folk punk with tempos ranging form fast to ballad like. The band is made up of Nic Brocchini and Nery Castillo, two college students who understand and have no problem discussing the politics and social problems they see. The music is simple and humble to bring more focus to the content of the lyrics.
