Circo Maximo is a band based in Belgium. The band started in 2011 as a folk-duo. In the years that followed other musicians joined in. In 2021 there are 7 people on stage for every live set. The band describes it's musical genre as "Belgicana". This is a combination of folk, bluegrass, country, americana,... combined with lyrics in Dutch. The band is able to combine these styles by using a variety of instruments that aren't regurarly used in these combinations: bagpipes, resonatorguitar, mandoline, ukulele, banjolele, violon, bass, cajon,..
