City and Colour is the name of St. Catharines, Ontario, Canada musician Dallas Green's solo project. Dallas Green (born September 29, 1980 in St. Catharines, Ontario) is more well known as the guitarist and singer in the band Alexisonfire. He is highly praised for his piercing vocals and arcing voice, present in nearly all of Alexisonfire's songs. Dallas has been writing music even before he was a member of Alexisonfire. Dallas' songs are of the acoustic variety. The name comes about from his own name: Dallas is a city, Green is a colour.
