Crucifist is a Rochester, NY based black metal band formed in 2004. The band includes bassist Dan Lilker (of Anthrax, S.O.D., Brutal Truth, Nuclear Assault, Hemlock, and others,) drummer Mike Waske and guitarist John Gallo of Rochester's traditional doom metal band Orodruin and Ron Blackwell on vocals. They have described their style as "70's black metal" and have a large NWOBHM influence, along with proto black/death metal bands like Venom, Hellhammer, and Bathory.
