Damada's 2016 Concert History

DaMaDa is a Bay Area-based world fusion ensemble, emphasizing Chinese music with an American jazz-funk-rock sensibility. The band’s repertoire ranges from Tibetan music, Beijing opera and Chinese folk music while also finding Chinese threads in western pieces by artists like Weather Report, King Crimson and Frank Zappa. Lead vocalist Luo Danna honed her style as a performer in a cadre that traveled throughout the Guangxi and Guandong provinces of China.
