Barbara Gaskin is an English singer who, with her musical partner Dave Stewart (former keyboardist of Egg, Hatfield and the North, and National Health), formed the Stewart / Gaskin duo in 1981. They had a number one hit that year in both the UK and Germany with a cover of 'It's My Party'. In 1983 they released 'Busy Doing Nothing', and in 1986 'The Locomotion'. Although both singles entered the UK singles chart, neither reached the heights of their debut release.
