De Règâhs koppelen het traditioneel Haags aan de Spaanse flamencotraditie. De groepsnaam De Règâhs vraagt om enige toelichting: Hét symbool van Den Haag is de ooievaar, een statige vogel, die enigszins oneerbiedig door de Hagenezen een Règâh, ofwel een reiger, wordt genoemd. Eén van de betekenissen van het Spaanse woord flamenco is flamingo, de bekende roze vogel die veel in zuidelijke landen voorkomt.
