Deinum Concert History

Named after a village near their home town of Leeuwarden, The Netherlands, Deinum were a Dutch post punk band active from 1988 to 1995. Their peculiar blend of new wave has been described as "bombastic, but with an eyewink". Fronted by Peter Sijbenga, Deinum was established after the demise of Sijbenga's previous band, the somewhat legendary Frisian post punk powerhouse, It Dockumer Lokaeltsje. The band released two full-length albums before calling it quits: Bernewrâld (1991) and Europaeus (1993).
