Detroit's 2012 Concert History

Detroit, also called "The Band Detroit", was formed in 1970 by Mitch Ryder to succeed his previous band "The Detroit Wheels". In 1972, Ryder left ehe band and was replaced by Rusty Day. Two years later, Detroit disbanded. During the period between 1970 and 1972, the band is often called "Detroit with Mitch Ryder" while the iteration of the band with Day is referred to as just "Detroit". In 2005, the group reformed without either Day or Ryder. Instead Tom Ingham was selected as frontman and lead vocalist. This version of the band is also typically referred to as just "Detroit".
