Dio is a classic heavy meatal band formed in 1982 by Ronnie Jame Dio and Vinny Appice after they both departed from Black Sabbath. The band was active until 2010, releasing ten studio albums, including the critically acclaimed "Holy Diver," which has been listed as one of the greatest heavy metal albums in history by IGN, Rolling Stone, and others. It included the hit singles "Holy Diver" and "Rainbow in the Dark," both heavy metal anthems in their own right. Other charting singles from Dio include "The Last in Line," "Mystery," "Rock 'N Roll Children," "Hungry for Heaven," and "I Could Have Been a Dreamer."
