Dirty Pictures Concert History

The title of the album "Escape from Sloppy Lake" refers to Slapy Lake (Slapy is pronounced "sloppy") on the outskirts of Prague, where Huckleberry Dirt founded Dirty Pictures in the autumn of 1992. The DPs featured Pavel Spacek, a.k.a. "The Walking Fly" on drums and local TV star Zdenek Marek on bass. The American led/Czech driven band quickly became a favorite in Prague just as the shimmering ghost city was awakening from its Iron Curtain coma, hungry for intimate contact with the world and ready to mosh.
