The English-speaking world knows him best as the chatty blues-rock enthusiast who fronts Tokyo band ズボンズ (Zoobombs to the katakana-impaired), but his saucily-worded concert t-shirts — pictures of which will not likely be posted here on account of the banhammer — also paint Don Matsuo (see also: ドン・マツオ... again with the katakana!) as a man of mystery, and recent shows and releases in Japan have seen him wading into dubby ethno-funk waters under fantastic names like "The Don Matsuo Metamorhythmic Experience".
