Doppler Shift Concert History

Formed in May of 2004, Doppler Shift is an experimental jazz-funk-rock band comprised of drums, bass, tenor saxophone, and trumpet. Inspired by groups such as the John Zorn Masada Quartet and the Gerry Mulligan Quartet, and fueled by James Brown, Ornette Coleman, Helmet, Medeski Martin and Wood, Doppler Shift has no chording instruments by choice, giving the listener a transparent groove to move your ass to. Jazz sure as shit ain't dead - it's just been waiting.
