Dr. John & The Lower 911 is an American band led by New Orleans legend Dr. John (known as the Night Tripper). The band (pronounced "lower nine eleven") features guitarist Reynard Poché, bassist David Barard and drummer/Master of Ceremonies Herman "Roscoe" Ernest III. They play their own unique version of swamp pop/blues/gospel/jazz/R & B/funk (that Dr. John likes to pronounce is as "fonk"). They have released the following albums: Sippiana Hericane (2005), City That Care Forgot (2008), Tribal (2010).
