Raymond Pepperell, better known as East Bay Ray, is the lead guitarist and one of the founding members of the Dead Kennedys. As a guitarist, East Bay Ray incorporates diverse elements including psychedelia, surf music, jazz, rockabilly, and doo-wop helped transform the Dead Kennedys into one of the most unique and iconic punk rock bands that in music history. While the Dead Kennedys broke up in 1986, the band reformed in 2001 with East Bay Ray returning as lead guitarist.
