Ellis May, a solo artist from Copenhagen, is the alter ego of singer, composer, producer and sound designer Sophia Maj. Her songs are hyper-realism written in melodic basslines, somehow out of genres and woven together with layers of sampled piano, drum machines, dreamy choir-scapes, gloomy synthesizers and immense vocal depth.
