His songs evoke the crisp spaciousness of winter on the prairies, through finger picked guitar and haunting vocal melodies. Claiming influences from Iron & Wine, Harry Manx and Sigur Ros, Evan intends to explore the marriage of folk and cinematic ambient sound. His instrumental alter-ego, The Intergalactic Space Travel Society (myspace.com/spacetravelsociety) intermingles with more traditional songs in live performance.
