Fake Orchestra Concert History

The Fake Orchestra was founded in 1997 by a guitarist Igor Leonardi. In the beginning of the eighties Leonardi was a member and co-founder of Begnagrad and Quatebriga, Slovene avant groups of extreme importance. Even though he gained his education at the Graz Academy for Jazz, his musical horizon was far to widen to play only one type of music. He was overwhelmed with West African and Oriental music and consequently his knowledge of traditional ethnic instruments led toa meeting with Don Cherry, who he played and associated with for years.
