Formed in 2008, Famine Year is a crust-flavored grindcore band out of Helsinki, Finland. Taking cues from classic acts like Black Flag, Terrorizer, Discharge, Extreme Noise Terror, Napalm Death, Skitsystem & Nasum as well as contemporaries such as Pig Destroyer, Martyrdöd, Trap Them & Totalt Jävla Mörker, their music is fast and violent like the world we live in, their message bleak and apocalyptic like the future ahead.
