Eleven-headed creative hydra Franui never had to try too hard to be different. The titles of their albums are cool and contemporary, their sujets grave and severe, their presentation deep and direct. Old age, death and funerals especially have turned into a Leitmotif for the Austrians and "morbid" is a recurring adjective used by journalists in trying to characterise their sound. Accordingly, their second abum "Frische Ware" carried the subtitle "Musik für Totengräber" ("Music for Gravediggers")...
