Heavy organ rock from Ohio. Cleveland, 1968-1972. Formally known as Paper Sun and Freeport Express. Paper Sun was formed in early ’68 or so. Although not sure of the original lineup, in February 1969 the members included Eric Janson (guitar and vocals), Kevin Raleigh (keyboards and vocals), Craig Holt (bass), and Bill Stallings (drums). With this lineup they recorded some songs at Landen for the ill-fated Abbey Group deal.
These are photos from concerts where Freeport played, so they may be of other bands that played the concert as well.
