Gestalt et Jive were a multinational avant-rock group founded in Germany in 1984 by multi-instrumentalist Alfred Harth, comprising Steve Beresford (from General Strike and The Flying Lizards), Anton Fier (from Pere Ubu and The Golden Palominos), Alfred Harth (from Cassiber), Peter Hollinger (from Uludag), Ferdinand Richard (from Etron Fou Leloublan) and Uwe Schmitt.
