Im Frühjahr 1994 erlebte GONOREAS den ersten Pulsschlag: eine spontane und relativ harmlose Allianz – getragen vom gemeinsamen musikalischen Schaffensinteresse der Initianten, eigentlichen Gründern und vorerst einzigen Mitglieder Martin Zürcher (b) und Denis Alibasic (rg) - bildete den Grundstein für ein Projekt, welches sich noch Jahre weiterentwickeln sollte. Die kleine Formation wurde nach der Gründung schnell um einige Mitglieder reicher: Damir Eskic (g), Jonas Lotar (d) und Gilberto Meléndez (v) wurden hinzugezogen.
