Green Day's 1989 Concert Photos

Green Day is a punk rock band formed in 1987 in East Bay, California. Its members include lead singer Billie Joe Armstrong, bassist Mike Dirnt, and drummer Tré Cool. After developing an early cult following within the Bay Area punk scene, Green Day launched to mainstream success with its third album "Dookie" (1994). It included early hits like "Longview," "Basket Case," "Welcome to Paradise," and "When I Come Around." The band's next three albums, "Insomniac" (1995), "Nimrod" (1997), and "Warning" (2000) also performed well and introduced the world to songs like "Good Riddance" and "Brain Stew." Green Day's seventh studio album "American Idiot" (2004) is often considered the band's second breakthrough with hits like "Holiday," Boulevard of Broken Dreams," "Jesus of Suburbia," and "Wake Me Up When September Ends." Green Day has since released "21st Century Breakdown" (2009), the "¡Uno!, ¡Dos!, ¡Tré!" trilogy (2012), "Revolution Radio" (2016), "Father of All Motherfuckers" (2020), and "Saviors" (2024).
