Guardarraya aparece en la escena artística en el año 2000, inicialmente la banda estaba compuesta por: Álvaro Bermeo, Mateo Crespo, Andrés Caicedo y Andrés Pacheco. Luego de un año, la agrupación logra editar su primer disco “Guardarraya” y con él, las tocadas en bares y eventos culturales de la ciudad se hacen más frecuentes y demandadas. Ya un éxito bajo el brazo Guardarraya, en el 2003, graba su segundo disco “Chistes y Roces”, en cual se incorpora el bajista de Sal y Mileto, Franco Aguirre.
