Henry Brun Concert History

The nickname “Mr. Ritmo” (Mr. Rhythm) given to Henry Brun by his following, is not just a name, but describes his musical dynamic, authenticity and “cadencia” that have brought joy to numerous audiences. Born in Bronx, New York, to Puerto Rican parents, Henry started playing congas at the tender age of seven. He listened to the music of the masters: José Mangual Sr., Carlos “Patato” Valdés, Tito Puente, Mongo Santamaría, Candido Camero, Milton Cardona, Willie Bobo, Ray Barretto and other Latin pioneers during the sixties.
