In the 1970s, "The Godfather of Shock Rock" Alice Cooper started a drinking club with other celebrity musicians including Keith Moon of The Who, Ringo Starr and John Lennon, formerly of The Beatles, Micky Dolenz of The Monkees, and several others. While Cooper is now sober and in recovery, Cooper selected the name "Hollywood Vampires" for a hard rock supergroup he formed with < a href=/bands/johnny-depp>Johnny Depp and Joe Perry in 2012. In 2015, Tommy Hendriksen joined as a permanent member following the release of the band's self-titled debut album. The next year, the band went on its first concert tour. Hollywood Vampires released its second studio album in 2019. A short European concert tour was announced in June 2022. It is slated to begin on June 8, 2023.
